With roots in painting and a deep appreciation for Richmond’s dynamic art community, Linda Jimenez has built a creative life that bridges fine art and design. After earning a B.A. in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Linda spent more than two decades as a designer and creative director, while continuing to paint as a personal creative outlet.
In 2017, she returned full-time to her studio practice. Building on her foundation in representational art and her career in creative design, Linda began exploring the expressive possibilities of abstraction, drawn to its freedom, movement, and visual energy. Her work reflects a love of bold, saturated color, rhythmic form, and layered mark-making, blending intuitive gesture with thoughtful composition.
Linda’s work is represented by Crossroads Art Center and has been featured in juried exhibitions at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, the VMFA Studio School, the Weinstein JCC, and Crossroads Art Center.
